Normans Beach
Our usual Saturday morning hike took us to Normans Beach, at the feet of Mount Manypeaks. We left a bit late this morning so it was a rush to get down to the beach to capture the best light. Walking down past the Salmon Shacks, we were greeted with the most magnificent orange, red, magenta sunrise – silhouetting Mount Manypeaks before us. Needless to say, we were looking for whales but none were to be seen. However, the dolphins were there in full flight. 6km round trip up and back was well worth the walk – beautiful white sand in a crackalacking location !
